GRUPO EL ROSADO is one of the most important companies in Ecuador, an example of innovation and development in the country. The Corporation owns supermarket chains, toy stores, cinemas, restaurants, music and video stores, distributed in the most important cities of the country.

In response to the request of GRUPO EL ROSADO to implement the Personal Data Protection Law of Ecuador in the different companies of the group, the use of GlobalSuite® Data Protection is proposed to generate the necessary bases for an adequate management of personal data in the organization; identify and implement the necessary measures for the management of personal data protection; raise staff awareness and reduce times and costs.

The scope of the project includes all actions for the correct adaptation of, among others, the following companies or commercial brands of GRUPO EL ROSADO:

The main objective of the project was to implement the Data Protection Law in the different companies of the group in order to manage the information in a centralized manner.

• To comply with the recent LOPDP (Organic Law on Personal Data Protection in Ecuador) and avoid sanctions.
• Generate the necessary bases for adequate management of personal data in the Organization.
• Raise awareness among the staff of the importance and proper treatment of personal data.

The use of GlobalSuite® has allowed GRUPO EL ROSADO to maintain in a centralized way the documentation and processes of the management system. For example: the Record of Processing Activities, the inventory of assets, the impact assessment, managing the records of incidents, exercises of rights, or the opportunities for improvement and mitigation initiatives. In addition:

• They have managed with our software to encompass under the same environment all the requirements of the project.
• Thanks to the team specialized in security, they have been able to adapt the requirements of the regulations to the daily operations of the companies.
• It has had the advice service, both in legal and technical matters, making an integration to the internal processes with a legal and security aspect.
